Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski II, Memorial Fund

Want to introduce your children to a real American Hero? Let them read about Major Ivan Castro on line.

We heard about Major Ivan, liked what we heard. We contacted Ivan, had him complete the application process for assistance through the memorial fund, and voted to support him by buying his very first state-of-the-art racing bike. See Ivan’s note:

“We picked up the tandem today, literally.  It is only 26 pounds.  My other bike weighs 42 pounds! This Co-Motion tandem is worthy of every accolade out there.

Pictures are on the way.

Kind regards,”

Other items were needed to make this bike really worthy and with the help Evolve Bikes in Florida, we were able to outfit this bike with everything that Ivan needed to compete in the Invictus Games, hosted by Prince Harry of Great Britain.

I hope this email finds you well.

A few pictures attached.

This bike is awesome.  Only a couple of short rides so far.  The weather in Orlando has kept us inside.  We are very excited to have a longer ride planned tomorrow.

One set of pedals is on the bike.  The second set is due in tomorrow.  We have the computer for the bike in hand! Incredible.

The logo you provided has been placed on the front of the bike on the forks.  I’m Told it looks great and should be in all pictures taken from the front.

More to come soon.  We are training hard here in Florida.

Thank you and your husband for all you have given us.

Ivan, we wish you the very best games this coming week. You are certainly an America Hero and worthy of the support of all American people. I am proud to have met you through phone calls and emails. Remember YOU ARE a winner to all of us here with the Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski, II Memorial Fund.

Bike fast and most of all, have fun.
