CHRISTIAN BROTHERS ACADEMY

HOLDS FIRST ‘BREAKFAST WITH DENNIS’ EVENT IN HONOR OF FALLEN SOLDIER

LINCROFT, N.J. — The First Annual “Breakfast with Dennis” was held last month at Christian Brothers Academy. The event took place on May 19. The Breakfast is in honor of Dennis W. Zilinski II who, in 2005, made the ultimate sacrifice for his country in Bayji, Iraq.

The guest speaker was Dennis’ brother – New Jersey Army National Guard Major Matthew Zilinski.  Major Zilinski shared with the attendees personal stories of his brother Dennis and his deep sense of duty in protecting our freedoms.

The Breakfast is a scholarship service project initiated by CBA freshman Anthony Sanfratello.  The Sanfratello family and CBA chapter members of SADD — led by its moderator Bill Frake — helped prepare and serve all the food for the breakfast buffet. The supplies for the Breakfast were donated.

Television and radio personality Joe Piscopo also spoke at the Breakfast reminding everyone of the personal sacrifices of all our service persons.

The event and its speakers was enjoyed by all and will be an annual event to be held every spring at CBA.  All proceeds of the event will be used towards the training of service dogs for our veterans suffering from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
